RESPONSIBILITY ON THE TEAM
Charles serves as an Associate Member of the Office Group where he specializes
in Landlord and Tenant representation and acquisition and disposition of office
properties. Charles assists clients in developing and implementing strategic
real estate plans that are specifically designed to complement their business.
CAREER SUMMARY
Before joining Grubb & Ellis|The Furman Co. Office Group in 2003, Charles
built his real estate and leadership experience within the field of property management
for 5 years. In the past six years, Charles has proven his expertise through
more than one hundred and fifty office lease or sale transactions. Charles received
the Broker of the Year Award from Liberty Property Trust in 2004, 2006 and 2007
and also received Co-Star’s Power Broker award in 2006 and 2007.
EDUCATION
Charles graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of
North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
PROFESSIONAL COURSES, AFFILIATIONS, INTERESTS
Charles earned his CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member) designation
in 2007 and became a member of SIOR (Society of Industrial and Office Realtors)
in 2009. He is an active member of the Urban Land Institute, the National Association
of Industrial and Office Properties, the Greater Greenville Association of Realtors,
the Commercial Agents of Greater Greenville and the Greater Greenville Chamber
of Commerce. Charles worked as a loaned executive with the United Way from 2004
to 2006 and as a corporate solicitor in 2007 and 2008. Charles is actively involved
in various national and international mission groups and is currently on the board
of Ignite Mission, based in New Orleans, LA, and Water for Life, based in Greenville,
SC. Charles is married, has two children, and enjoys backpacking, scuba diving
and traveling. |
